Photos: Pol Espargaro on four wheels at Catalunya circuit

This morning Pol Espargaró took to the track of Barcelona-Catalunya with one of the Formula cars which Team Tuenti HP 40 uses in the World Series by Renault championship – a reward and celebration for his recent win of the Moto2 title. The young Spaniard took on the challenge of Sito Pons and did a few laps around the Catalunya circuit with the car. The day was interrupted briefly when Pol went off track at the entry of the chicane and hit the wall with the car. Espargaró was very impressed with the characteristics of the car, especially with the power under braking and the acceleration.

POL ESPARGARÓ “It was an incredible experience. I didn’t expect the car to have so much power. What impressed me most was the braking. When you hit the brakes it’s like you stop completely. You also notice the centrifugal power when you turn. It was great to have the chance to try this car and I have to say thanks to Sito for giving me the opportunity. I have seen how difficult it is to drive one of these cars fast.”
