20131118171417_IMG_4580The Tuenti HP 40 team is still keeping busy and after the two days of testing at the Jerez circuit last week, the two new riders for Pons Racing continued their work plan at another day of testing in Valencia today.

In contrast to last week the two youngsters encountered very cold conditions at the circuit in Cheste. Despite a constant threat of rain, Luis and Maverick could continue their work with the Kalex and get more laps under their belts – a total of 75 laps for Salom and 86 for ViƱales – finishing the day before the start of the rain.

Next week the Spaniards will have another go, testing for three days at Almeria to conclude the 2013 season.

Maverick ViƱales: “Every time I’m enjoying myself more on the Kalex. We couldn’t wait to come to Valencia after the two days of testing in Jerez. I feel very comfortable with the team and the bike, every time that we go out on track we improve and I think we have to follow this line of work that we have. I want to thank the team which is helping me a lot in this process of adaptation in the new category and thanks to them I am having a lot of fun on the bike.”

Luis Salom: “Little by little we’re picking up the style of the new class. We’re getting used to the higher weight and size of the Kalex and I’m more and more comfortable on it. This team is fantastic. I have a great rapport with them and we made some small changes which worked very well. Soon we’re in Almeria again, so the days in between we’ll use to relax a little and go well-prepared to the final test of the season.”
