Very good start for Aleix Espargaro at Sepang

The NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team greeted the start of an exciting new season with a productive day of testing at Sepang racetrack followed by the participation to the Yamaha Motorsport Press Conference to present their world racing programme.

It was a good start for Aleix Espargaró on board of the Forward Yamaha FTR. The Spaniard worked mainly on electronics and engine controls. At his debut on the Malaysian track, Aleix found a good feeling and was able to ride with a good rhythm from the morning. He completed 26 laps scoring the 7th best time (2’01.419) at only half a second from the podium.

“I’m really excited to start this new adventure with the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team. We have a very good package and I aim at fighting with the factory riders. The bike is competitive and we have high expectations. Today we worked mainly on electronics and engine controls. I was comfortable on the bike from the morning and I could ride with a good rhythm. We did only 26 laps but we collect good data and I’m confident because we are working in the right direction”.
