Top 5 for Isaac Viñales & Team Calvo in the IRTA tests in Valencia

The IRTA tests held at the circuit of Valencia marked the beginning of a series of official pre-season tests in which the last details are being finalised in preparation for a season which promises to bring much joy to Team Calvo.

After the first contact between the team and its three new riders who will defend the colours of the team from Madrid, the time had come to start work on the different setups and plan strategies for Isaac Viñales, Jakub Kornfeil and Eric Granado.

The three riders, whose prime goal it was to get used to the bikes and avoid crashes, got of to a great start with a top 5 finish based on the combined times of all three days.

We managed to finish in the top 5 of the combined classification after three days, which shows we’ve done some great work. But we have to continue working with the objective to improve lap by lap and be the best prepared we can for the season. I’m very happy and looking forward to continue the work in Jerez where we’ll have another opportunity to progress before the season starts.
