Ready or not, it’s time to go racing. The Moto2 and Moto3 riders completed their final day of preseason testing at Jerez today bringing to an end a three-day session held in excellent conditions in the south of Spain.

Some fifteen Moto3 riders managed to lap in the 1’46s today, proving that it promises to be another close season in the minor category although once again Jack Miller has been the standout rider at this test and he finished on top with a best lap of 1’46.326.

MAPFRE Aspar rider Juanfran Guevara has improved his lap times and his bike set-up on each of the three days here at Jerez. The Spanish youngster remained calm despite struggling with the windy conditions on the first day and his gradual progress continued on an upward curve today as he joined the group of pacesetters lapping in the 1’46s.

13th – Juanfran Guevara 1.46.782 (55 laps):
“We did a similar job to yesterday, working on some different set-up solutions with our minds on race distance. We tried a variety of tyre compounds including the hardest front so that we were clear on everything before we get to the first race. On my last run we went back to the soft tyre and pushed hard to see how the bike responded. It went pretty good and we have finished the test with a 1’46 so we leave Jerez on a high note. On the whole it has been a positive preseason for us and I think we are where we belong.”
