Isaac Viñales and Calvo Team continue setup work in Qatar FP3

 In Moto3, News

On Friday the three riders worked jointly to tow one another in their slipstream down the long straight of the Losail circuit., but the results weren’t as positive as the team had hoped for.

Isaac Viñales as well as Eric Granado had problems finding a setup that worked well for them and they could not position themselves higher up the ranking like Jakub Kornfeil did, who was within the top five. The Czech rider continued his work on used tyres to prepare for race conditions. In the overall standing across the three free practice sessions he secured a third place.

Team Calvo is working hard on the setup of the KTM in preparation for qualifying, and everyone is confident that they can start the first race of the year from as high up on the grid as possible.

It was a complicated day. We tried different tyre but none of them worked exactly to my liking and to be honest I think at the moment we’re a bit stuck with the bike’s setup. But I have plenty of confidence in my team and we’ll do our best to try and improve and get the feeling back we had on Thursday. We’re analysing all data and we’ll see where we can improve because so far we’ve not been able to solve the setup problems that have been plaguing us.
