Fifteen years on from the final Grand Prix at the Autódromo Óscar Gálvez in Buenos Aires the MotoGP World Championship returns to Argentina this weekend at the Termas de Río Hondo track in the province of Santiago del Estero.

None of the Moto3 riders have previously visited this circuit so they will have plenty of work to do from the first free practice session on Friday, with Jack Miller the man they will all be targeting after two straight wins for the Australian in the opening two rounds of the season.

MAPFRE Aspar rider Juanfran Guevara heads south from Texas on the back of his best ever result after taking eleventh place at Circuit of the Americas last week.

The Murcia youngster has so far made impressive progress throughout the opening two rounds of the season, improving in every session and establishing a base setting for his bike that should prove useful for the remainder of the season.

Even though this is a new track for him he is confident of continuing in the same positive vein this weekend.

Juanfran Guevara:
“We will all be starting from zero in Argentina, nobody knows the circuit so we will have to work hard and be on the ball from the first session. We gathered a lot of useful data in Austin and we know what we need to do to keep on the upward curve that we are on at the moment. In Argentina we will keep working from the base we have established with the bike but it is working perfectly already. It is just a case of working a little bit on the chassis set-up and I am sure we can have a strong race. I have asked Nico about the track and he told me that it has some technical zones and it is quite demanding, so I can’t wait to get there and ride at a new track.”
