The fourth round of the MotoGP World Championship follows immediately on the back of the third and although the adrenaline and excitement is still flowing there is bound to be a feeling of tiredness this week as the paddock arrives at Jerez directly from the Termas de Río Hondo circuit in Argentina.

The journey from South America to Spain is the last long-haul journey for some time now as the fourth race of the season signals the start of a European road trip that lasts through until the summer break. The Moto3 season has provided some spectacular racing so far and one man who has managed to finish on the podium at every race; Jack Miller now leads the championship by seventeen points.

The MAPFRE Aspar Team’s new signing for this season Juanfran Guevara has more than met his targets so far and after getting knocked off track in the opening round he is aiming to back up positive results in Texas and Argentina with another strong performance in front of his home crowd this weekend.

The Spanish youngster has plenty of experience at this track, including six days of preseason testing on his new bike, and he is hoping to build on that this weekend as he aims to reduce the gap even further to the front group.

Juanfran Guevara:
“After the first three rounds of the season I go to my home race at Jerez feeling really motivated and excited. Racing in front of your home fans is always special and after scoring positive results in the last two races we want to keep the run going this weekend. Winter testing at Jerez went well and we have a lot of data to work from. I like the fact there is no time to rest between races, the adrenaline is still flowing and the physical training we put in during the off season will come into play now. Jerez has a bit of everything, I think it can be good for us and hopefully we can take another big step there towards our ultimate objective.”
