Graphic: Marc Marquez celebrates 100 GPs at Jerez
After missing the first two races of the season through injury, a 15 year-old Marc Marquez made his 125cc World Championship debut with Repsol support on April 13th, 2008, at the Portuguese GP. His first podium appearance came at that year’s British GP, but he would have to wait until 2010 to take his first win. That would mark the start of a run of three World Championships and some record breaking achievements.
Since that victory, Marc Marquez has triumphed at more than half of the races that he has entered (35 from 67) and seen his name mentioned alongside those of legends such as Agostini, Doohan, Rossi and Spencer. This Sunday at Jerez, the Repsol Honda rider will complete his first century of Grand Prix appearances.
