The Pons HP 40 team complete an intense and positive two-day test at Motorland, as their riders continue to adapt to the Moto2 category.

Just after the GP of Spain ended last weekend at the Jerez circuit, riders of the Pons HP 40 team headed for the Motorland Aragon track to continue working with their Kalex Moto2 bikes.

This test not only featured full time riders Luis Salom and Maverick Viñales, but also the leader of Spanish FIM Championships (CEV) Edgar Pons who debuted last weekend at the World Championship Moto2 in the GP of Spain.

All three riders have focused on continue accumulating miles on the Kalex Moto2 bike, continuing adaptation to the new category and trying different settings on their bikes during two long days.

All in all, the riders of the Pons HP 40 squad have carried out extensive work and leave Aragon with improvements that may be applied in the next GGPP .

MAVERICK VIÑALES
“I’m very happy with this test. It was very intense because we have a lot of laps and we’ve tried many things. I think it has gone very well. We have been able to advance work that we can apply to the GP of Aragon, and also for the Le Mans race next week where I am eager to continue the progress we have taken so far.”

LUIS SALOM
“It was a very positive test. I am very happy because we have got to know the bikes better through this test, and this has allowed me to draw further conclusions and advance in the direction we have set. I leave with a very good feeling and I am very clear about the path we have to follow in the coming races. We have to keep working at Le Mans and I think this test will help me a lot for the next GPs.”

EDGAR PONS
“I’m happy. We have done a very good test. Last weekend we were running in the world championships and I think this went really well. You work at a very high level and you learn a lot, and now I have come here much more relaxed and was able to ride pretty fast. Now I have to concentrate on the Spanish Championship and try to implement it all that I’m learning.”
