This week sees the FIM CEV Repsol continue. The previous round in Jerez raised excitement as the inaugural event of the season; this time in Le Mans there’s a special sense of anticipation because for the first time ever, 48 riders have been called to compete in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ on French soil, which is to coincide with the MotoGP™ World Championship event this coming weekend.

María Herrera (SPA-Honda) will defend her position on the home ground of rival co-leader and team-mate Fabio Quartararo (FRA-Honda), who can be expected to have the support of a crowd of fans.

Behind them and also tied on points in the overall rankings are Gabriel Rodrigo (SPA-KTM) and Andrea Migno (ITA-Kalex), acolytes of World Championship riders Aleix Espargaró and Valentino Rossi respectively. But they’ll all have to keep an eye on Jorge Navarro (SPA-Ioda) and Iroki Ono (JPN-TSR) trailing them by just a few points.

Also, three French riders have earned the right to measure themselves as wild card riders against the cream of motorcycling’s youth.

Comprehensive television coverage is planned for the weekend’s great racing. French fans can follow the race live on Eurosport, while in Italy Sky will be providing the coverage. As usual in Spain, Energy and Movistar TV will broadcast the race live (scheduled for Saturday, May 17th, 16:30 pm), as well as Internet streaming will be provided by mitele.es.

In other countries, the race will be broadcast on the Youtube championship channel.
