Ricky Cardus disappointed with difficult and challenging Mugello weekend
For Ricky Cardus, today’s ambition at Mugello was to get a good start and climb upwards from the 19th position on the grid where he qualified. By the end of the first lap Cardus was 20th and despite his relentless efforts to ascend up the field he was unable to climb any higher and finished the Grand Prix in 19th position.
The result closes a challenging weekend for the Spanish rider who will aim to make amends during his home race at Catalunya next round.
Ricky Cardus : 19th
“It was a difficult weekend for me as I don’t particularly like Mugello as a circuit. It’s disappointing to not collect any points as I worked really hard all weekend with my Tech3 Racing Team, but in such a competitive class you pay more for such small mistakes. Now I will move on and focus on the next race in Montmelo which is my home track. For sure this will give me extra motivation and I am convinced we’ll perform well and be up higher in the timesheets to collect important points again for the Tech3 Racing Team.”
