Isaac Viñales and Team Calvo third on first day at Barcelona
The GP of Catalunya has started very well for Team Calvo with Isaac Viñales finishing the first day, marked by very high temperatures, in third place.
With more than 30 degrees air and 50 degrees track temperature, it’s fundamental to find the best possible setup for the race distance and the Catalan rider and his team have concentrated in exactly this race setup.
Tomorrow he hopes to be able to bag a starting position on the first two rows of the grid.

“My home GP has started very well. I’m very happy because we hardly changed the setup from Mugello and I immediately felt comfortable and everything was relatively easy. It’s very hot, but this is the same for everyone, and to be honest, the important thing would be to have less heat in the morning during qualifying so that we secure a good starting position for the afternoon. The aim will be to start from the first two rows of the grid. I’m not much about pole positions, I’m more about pace, but tomorrow I will have to try and be as high up as I possibly can for the race.”
