Positive test day for Maverick Viñales

After his second-place finish at the GP of Catalunya on Sunday, Maverick took to the Catalan track again on Tuesday to complete an intense testing schedule with his Kalex of the Páginas Amarillas HP 40 team.

The current Moto3 champion tried various settings on his Moto2 bike which worked relaly well and which allowed him to ride faster than during the last race.

Viñales finished the test with very good feelings and with much confidence for the upcoming race in Assen in just over a week’s time.

Maverick’s teammate Luis Salom could not take part in this test as he is recovering from the fracture in his little finger that he sustained during last Sunday’s race.

“I’m very happy with the work that we’ve done here. We tried different settings and I felt very good on the bike. We made an important step forward. These improvements allowed me to go faster than during the GP and we’ll travel to Assen with much confidence and with the aim to shorten the gap to Tito.”
