Efren Vazquez 15th on Assen grid after frustrating Qualifying
Today’s FP3 and Qualifying were run in mixed conditions at the Assen TT circuit.
In the morning, Efren Vazquez was still able to shine with a great result: best Honda, fourth quickest time. But during qualifying he couldn’t find the optimum rhythm and dropped down to fifteenth place.
This means he will commence tomorrow’s race five positions behind his teammate John McPhee. Nonetheless he’ll be aiming to fight up front in the race itself.
Efren Vazquez
“Today was a little bit difficult for us. This morning everything was more or less clear. But the weather became worse. It started raining a bit. Then there was a lot of traffic during the last four laps. We have to work on the setup a little bit for tomorrow. And I hope the weather will not be too bad. I hope we can catch up to the leading group and fight at the front.”
