Hard day at Assen for Isaac Viñales & Team Calvo, finishes 7th

Even though today’s morning session was held in the wet, the sun finally came out before the race of the Moto3 class.

Isaac Viñales spent the entire race in the second group, battling fort fourth position, but even though the Team Calvo rider gave everything, in the end he crossed the finish line in seventh place.

“This didn’t go the way it should have, but that’s racing. The bike didn’t go as well as we’d expected it to and we have to take a good look at this with KTM to find out what happened. The whole weekend the pace was great and during the race, even though I tried very hard, I could not escape the group. It’s a shame because everything had gone perfect up to race day. Overall, none of the KTMs did work like they should have. We finished far behind the first three and that’s not normal. We now have to turn the page and think about the next race in Germany.”
