Top ten finish for Efren Vazquez at Assen

Both Efren Vazquez and RTG teammate John McPhee secured a top ten finish in today’s race at the Circuit of Assen. Efren’s sixth place adds a further 10 points to his tally.

Everything was possible until the end, only Rins, Marquez and Oliveira could escape at the front. The chasing pack, including the two SAXOPRINT RTG riders, battled for positions 4 till 12.

The race of this big group was marked by many changes in position and many crashes. Even the two current championship leaders Miller and Fenati did not finish the race.

“Not the best race for us. The most important thing is, we only have a gap of 15 points to the leader, Jack Miller, because I got 10 points in this race. This is quite important for us. Now we want to focus out attention to the race at the Sachsenring in Germany to finish the first half of the season in the best possible position. And I hope we’ll have the chance to grab the title in the second part of the season.”
