Ana Carrasco not happy with 20th at Sachsenring despite strong race
Ana Carrasco rode a strong race at the Sachsenring today, finishing in 20th, but wasn’t able to fight for points and therefore the Spaniard wasn’t happy.
Ana had a good start but needed all of her skills to avoid a collision between Gabriel Rodrigo and Livio Loi right in front of her. Despite the upset she managed to move up from 31st to 24 after just two laps.
In the second half of the race the field had broken into five groups, from 1 to 5, 6 to 14, 15 to 18, 19 to 21 and 22 to 23.
Carrasco had a strong race fighting with Luca Grünwald but had to settle for 20th in the final lap.
Ana Carrasco – 20 (+57,149)
“The result is not so bad but I’m not happy. It could and should have been better. I tried my best but there was something wrong with my bike and I didn’t stand a chance to stick with the group in front, that was fighting for points.”
