Isaac Vinales Brno 2014

This qualifying session had it all.
The look of the sky threatened rain before the start of the session so all riders tried their hardest right away. Eventually the rain did come and the session had to be halted due to a crash and some necessary repair works to the crash barriers.
Once the session restarted, Isaac Viñales rode very cleverly and could secure a second place start for tomorrow’s race.
It’s the first time that Viñales and Team Calvo start from that high up on the grid this season and the expectations for the race are very high. After the disappointment of Indianapolis, the Catalan rider is determined to fight for the podium to keep his chances of a third place in the championship alive.

I’m much happier than yesterday. Even though we’ve still not quite found the setting that we wanted, I managed to post a fast lap time so I’m happy. But I’m not entirely happy with the bike, I’m not comfortable that the bike is allowing me to go fast.
Tomorrow’s race will surely be a tight one and I’ll have to battle. After the bad starts I’ve had, it’s is a great motivation to start from the front row, but even though this will be a little easier I will have to work hard. The Honda’s are very good here but in the race everything can happen.
