“It goes without saying that I wished the race would have turned out differently to brighten up this tricky weekend for me, but unfortunately this has not been the case. I still can take some positives from today as I wasn’t too far back from the leader with the overall gap, especially considering that I have never really enjoyed riding at this circuit. Moreover, I had an issue with shifting up in the gearbox that’s why I made a couple of mistakes as I was trying to compensate for this problem, but I still wasn’t able to make up the lost ground. I really wanted to finish the race without crashing so when I realised that I was too far behind to get some points, I didn’t want to take any unnecessary risks. I can’t do anything else now other than focusing on Silverstone which is the next race and I look forward to getting back in the points there.”
