Isaac Viñales aiming for podium at Silverstone

 In Moto3, News

After some well-deserved rest after two back-to-back GPs in Indianapolis and Brno, the Moto3 world championship travels to the British isles for the British GP at the circuit of Silverstone. The English track is one of the longest on the calendar and also one of the fastest and most technical.

After a couple of races where the desired results didn’t happen for one reason or another, Team Calvo arrives in Silverstone with their eyes firmly set on the podium.

Isaac Viñales as well as Jakub Kornfeil have shown on many occasions during the season that they have the potential to fight for a top five finish, and the Spaniard already got a taste of what it’s like to climb the steps to the podium.

The Team Calvo riders will give their all from the first free session on Friday onwards.

In Silverstone you need a bike that is very fast and that is also very agile when you change directions. It’s a long and difficult track and you have to find the line very accurately to be able to go fast. There are a couple of braking points where you can overtake very well, but we’ve already seen in Brno that the Moto3 field can be very close together and this makes things difficult. We go into this weekend with a lot of enthusiasm and we’ll try to be up front again, fighting for the top positions. We have to overcome the low that we’ve had the last few races and once again start attacking.
