Isaac Viñales and Calvo Team have achieved a great result at Misano today. After a couple of races where things had not worked out as planned, the Spanish rider returned to fighting for the top places here in Misano, starting from the third row of the grid.

Today Honda’s Álex Rins and Álex Márquez had more than the factory KTMs and not championship leader Jack Miller nor Viñales were able to hunt them down, finishing third and fourth respectively.

Isaac Viñales will be going to the Aragon GP even better prepared after a two-day test with KTM at the circuit of Almeria. The tests are scheduled just days before arriving at Motorland, and Viñales will work with the Austrian factory on testing material for this season and also new bike parts for 2015.

“I’m happy, we lacked a little to the podium, but overall I’m happy because I’ve gone all the time pulling away from the group on my own and that’s what’s important for the future. We need to improve the pace a bit more mid-race to be with the first group, but we’re gradually getting there. I’m looking forward to Aragon because before the GP we do a test with KTM where I hope to improve my feeling with the bike in order to fight for the podium in another home race.”
