Efren working hard with setup on day one at Aragon

For the riders from the Saxoprint – RTG squad, the first practices were mostly there to improve the setup of the bikes.

Both riders – Efren Vazquez and teammate John McPhee – are feeling very confident on the bikes, and that’s really important. For tomorrow, they have to improve their riding – styles, but are optimistic for FP3 and Qualifying.

The positions today weren’t at the front of the pack – Efren eventually placed 13th overall, but little separates many of the top riders in the class at this stage.

Efren Vazquez:
“It was a quite important day for us. We tried to improve with the setting of the bike and tried to find the best setting possible for the week-end, as the team has not so many details from last year, because the bike is completely new. The lap-times are much faster than last year. So we tried to do the best in the free practice 1 and 2 and we will continue to work in the same line.”
