Good start at Aragon for Isaac Viñales & Calvo Team

The first day of free practice sessions in Aragon were held in excellent meteorological conditions at the circuit Motorland Aragon.

The Team Calvo riders returned to running at the front, and both Isaac Viñales and Jakub Korfeil finished in the top ten of the Moto3 category.

Viñales who occupied one of the top positions during the entire session finished sixth with a gap of only 3 tenths to the fastest rider.

“We’ve put the improvements that we found at the tests in Almeria to the test and made a big step forward. We worked a lot on the pace today and it’s gone really well. We’ve got good speed and, most importantly, I can rider at that level on my own and at consistent levels which is what I struggled with before. We expected to finish further down the ranking as this is the Honda’s test circuit, and therefore we’re pleased with today’s result. Tomorrow’s aim will be to secure a starting position within the first two rows of the grid and maintain the good rhythm we found.”
