Efren Vazquez salvages valuable points from chaotic Aragon race

The weather dictated the course of today’s Moto3 race and rendered the teams’ dry setup pretty useless.

Following a decision by race direction, the race was declared “wet”. Already in the first corner, some riders suffered a crash in the difficult conditions. Both SAXOPRINT RTG riders had a good start, with Efren in tenth position.

The track resembled a battlefield with riders running off track or crashing all throughout the race. Efren suffered in the conditions and dropped back down to 14th position after going wide.

Efren finished the race in 13th place.

It was a difficult race. We had a good start and tried to keep focused on riding with this group. It was difficult with the dry and wet conditions. Then I lost the front tyre, which meant I completely lost all chance to fight for the top. At least I got some points for the world championship. This was important.
