Falls in Aragon’s wet conditions drop Isaac Viñales to 12th place
Today’s Aragon GP Moto3 race was decalred a wet race, but there was a completely dry line of the track and the teams had to decide whether to go out with wet tyres or dry. Team Calvo decided that all three riders were to go out with slicks and it seems to have been the right decision.
Isaac Viñales seemed capable of fighting for positions of honour in the opening stages of the race, but two falls meant he had to settle for 12th place.

“It was a very difficult race because of the track conditions, but they were the same for all. I suffered two falls and we have to be thankful that we nonetheless managed to catch some points. But it’s a shame because we running with the front group until the front locked up and there was nothing I could do. I continued, even though the gearshift lever was slightly bent and the clutch lever, and I’d just about caught up again when I had another crash. I think we have done everything that was possible today, we had to risk things, and unfortunately it didn’t work out for us.”
