It was a great race for Isaac Viñales at the ultimate GP of the 2014 season.

The Team Calvo rider had been fighting with Jack Miller and Alex Marquez from the first lap on and only KTM orders prevented the Catalan rider to battle for victory.

Miller was fighting for the championship title and Team Calvo was best placed to follow the Austrian manufacturers suggestion and help the Australian rider achieve this.

In the end it wasn’t to be and Marquez was crowned champion. But for Team Calvo today’s race by Isaac was the best of the year and the best possible way to finish this season and go into 2015 full of motivation.

I’m very happy with this race. It’s been very tough and we fought very very hard from the first lap on, but I enjoyed every moment on the bike. On the last lap I had to hold back a bit to try and help KTM, but today leaves me very confident because I have seen that I could have snatched the victory from Miller. But you have to be loyal to your team and your manufacturer. The most important thing is that this result gives us much confidence to start work for the upcoming season.
