Efren Vazquez was third in the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas today, joining teammate Danny Kent on the podium in a great day for Leopard Racing.

In third place, Efren Vazquez was a bit of a surprise today. The Spaniard took advantage of all of his vast experience as he lost some positions after his start from P16 on the grid, but his fighting spirit was there all race distance.

Lap by lap he came back to race mode in the Texas Grand Prix and finished with a well-deserved rostrum.

The Moto3 World Series continues in one week’s time in Argentina at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit.

#7 Efren VAZQUEZ – 3th, World Championship position 4th:
“I’m so happy about this podium, because after starting from P16 on the grid I didn’t expect to finish in third position. I’m not only happy for me because today is a special day for me with my father’s birthday, so I dedicated this podium to him. Today I think I rode one of the best races in my career. At the start I lost several positions and I had to fight back. I found the right balance between pushing hard, stay calm and my experience helped me fighting through the pack. Anyway, I got quickly in a good rhythm lap by lap and in the end it is a well-deserved podium for us. Hopefully we can carry on in this way next week in Argentina. Today was a quite important day for the team, Danny’s victory is really important for all sponsors and to have two riders on the podium is even better. After my first podium this year I really look forward to the next race.”
