It could hardly have been a better start to the Argentina GP for the Leopard Racing team in Moto2.

After his good work in in Qatar two weeks ago, Miguel Oliveira again produced strong results on the first today of practice at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, which hosts the second round of 2016.

Miguel was 13th in FP1 and concentrated on improving the front end of his Kalex in FP2. Despite losing positions in the overall combined positions, the 21 year old was able to improve his lap time by over half a second and is ready to fight for the top ten.

#44 Miguel Oliveira – 16th (1’45.580):
“Today the conditions were very difficult with both the strong heat and the dirt of the track. All this dealt a blow to the bike and my physical condition. However, I’m happy, I closed the gap to the leaders by a second, which was my goal. In the second session I got into the top ten almost. Even tomorrow I seek more feeling with the front, I hope to improve my time and concentrate on the Qualifying strategy to try starting earlier than in Qatar.”
