A race to forget for Iker Lecuona in Losail

Moto2 class riders were back together at night on Sunday evening for the first round of the season at the Losail International Circuit as the sun set.

Iker Lecuona was unlucky as he suffered an engine failure.

The two Swiss Innovative Investors KTM’s riders are now heading for the second Grand Prix of the 2018 campaign at Termas De Río Hondo in Argentina.

Iker Lecuona (DNF):

“Overall it was a good weekend. We improved every day and I was able to qualify within a second off the pole position. During the race, there were many passes. It was a little crazy, but I had a lot of fun. As I approached Turn 12, I felt a problem when changing the gear and the bike stopped. I tried to return, but I couldn’t. I’m sorry for the team, but we’ll take our payback in Argentina.”
