CEV Repsol – Final poles of the 2019 season decided in Valencia
The FIM CEV Repsol says goodbye to the 2019 season this weekend at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo with Davide Pizzoli (Leopard Impala Junior Team) poleman in a race where Jeremy Alcoba (Laglisse Academy) needs only to finish 11th to claim the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship title. In the Moto2™ European Championship, Héctor Garzó (CNS Motorsport) took his second pole of the season while in the European Talent Cup Iván Ortolá (Ángel Nieto Junior Team) will head the starting grid for the first time.
Davide Pizzoli (Leopard Impala Junior Team) earned his first pole of the season with a time of 1:39.831 set in the first qualifying session of the FIM Moto3™ JWCh. Alongside the Leopard Impala Junior Team rider on the front row of the grid will be Daniel Holgado (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and Carlos Tatay (Fundación Andreas Pérez 77), who set the third best time of the day, the quickest in Q2. Ryusei Yamanaka (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), who together with the first three riders was the only one to lap in 1:39, will lead the second row of the grid ahead of Xavier Artigas (Leopard Impala Junior Team) and Pedro Acosta (Fundación Andreas Pérez 77).
Leader Jeremy Alcoba (Laglisse Academy) will start from the third row in his attempt to score at least five points more than Carlos Tatay, which would give him the FIM Moto3 ™ JWCh title: with only 50 points at stake, he already has a 46-point advantage over second-placed rider Carlos Tatay. An 11th place finish would be enough for him to take the championship title. Yuki Kunii (Asia Talent Team) returns to competition after injury and ETC champion Izan Guevara (Cuna de Campeones) debuts in the category.
In Moto2™ ECh, Héctor Garzó (CNS Motorsport) earned his second pole this season after his first in Jerez. The CNS Motorsport rider set a time to beat in Q1 of 1:36.048. Edgar Pons was the fastest in Q2 but still 0.066 behind the poleman in the combined. The first row of the grid is closed out by Tommaso Marcon (Team Ciatti-Speed Up). Behind them will be Yari Montella (Team Ciatti-Speed Up), Alessandro Zaccone (Promoracing) and Miquel Pons (H43 Nobby Talasur Blumaq).
In Superstock 600, Joan Díaz (DCR Racing Team) was the fastest in the qualifying sessions, although it will be Alessandro Zetti (Fau55 Racing) who races tomorrow as the category leader, with a 23-point advantage over second classified Joan Díaz.
Iván Ortolá (Ángel Nieto Junior Team) debuted as poleman in the ETC with a time of 1:43.217 achieved in the second qualifying session of Group B. Fermín Aldeguer (Mugen Race Junior Team) was the fastest in Group A but couldn’t match Iván Ortolá’s time. Lorenzo Fellon (ZF GP School) will complete the first row as the second best in the combined classification of the two groups. Diego Moreira (Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), Daijiro Sako (Cuna de Campeones) and Marcos Ruda (Cuna de Campeones) will form the second row of the starting grid in this last ETC race of the season.

As usual, the entrance to the paddock will be free over the weekend. In addition, FIM CEV Repsol fans who go to the main paddock access (Info Point 1) of the Circuit Ricardo Tormo on Sunday morning from 9.00 onwards can get a pass to take part in the Pit Lane Walk. Only firstcomers will get a pass for the Pit Lane Walk with a maximum of two passes per person. The Pit Lane Walk will take place at 10.15 am and will start from the exterior of the control tower.
Television networks and new media platforms in Europe and many countries are showing more and more interest in live broadcasts or on demand videos of FIM CEV Repsol events.
In Spain, DAZN will include the FIM Moto3™ JWCh, Moto2™ ECh and ETC in its programming, showing each of the scheduled races – as will BT Sports in both in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with live broadcasts of all races in each category. Also new is that Canal Plus in France will broadcast all the races live on Canal+ Sport. In Italy, Sky will broadcast live the FIM Moto3™ JWCh and Moto2™ ECh races.
In Belgium, GP Inside will offer live broadcasts of all the Championship races. Through Eurosportplayer (Holland and Romania) Eurosport will also offer live coverage of the FIM Moto3™ JWCh and Moto2™ ECh and ETC. In Portugal, Sport TV consolidates its commitment to motorcycling with live or recorded broadcasts of all the races scheduled throughout the season. Hungarian fans will be able to follow the young hopefuls of the European Talent Cup thanks to the recorded broadcast of ETC races by the Spiler TV channel.
By means of its digital platform the Motorsport group will broadcast live all the FIM Moto3™ JWCh, Moto2™ ECh and ETC races, with worldwide coverage except in the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy which will offer the same content through other media partners. The Edgesport Channel will show live all the FIM Moto3™ JWCh, Moto2™ ECh and ETC races, which will be available 24/7 on various platforms with coverage in Abu Dhabi, Belgium, Cambodia , China, Hong Kong, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Pacific Islands, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Solomon Islands, Thailand and Vietnam.
In addition, in those countries without television coverage, all races will be broadcast live on the championship’s YouTube channel.
