The Valresa Aspar Team closes the first part of the season as a solid leader in the team and rider standings in the Moto3 category. Albert Arenas, fifth in the Styrian Grand Prix, has had three very solid weekends, with a victory, a second and a fifth position that reaffirm him as the leader of the riders’ standings with a 25-points advantage. The Spanish rider has competed from start to finish in the Red Bull Ring with the leading group and, although he has not been able to reach the top positions, he has managed to manage the race with maturity to take home 11 more points in his fight of this season.

Arenas started from ninth on the grid, but reached eleventh when he was involved in fights with slower drivers in the group. However, he has not given up until the checkered flag, to get to fifth at the finish line. His teammate Stefano Nepa has achieved his best result of the year, with a ninth place after an intense race, in which he has shown great pace. The Italian rider has fallen behind his best result in the World Championship, eighth place in Thailand 2019, after a hard comeback from sixteenth position on the grid. Ahead, Celestino Vietti took the win, ahead of Tony Arbolino and Ai Ogura.

5th Albert Arenas (+1,380):
“We finished the race in fifth position and it is a positive result after how this race. I have had to fight a lot and I did not have the same weapons as in other races, but we have known how to fight. We did not know what it was like to finish off the podium this year, we already know, and we continue to learn. Right now, I don’t want to think about the championship, I haven’t done it during the race either, because if I did, I would have stayed further behind. I’m happy because it turned out well.”

9th Stefano Nepa (+6,937):
“It was a great Sunday; after three racing weekends I come home happy because we have always finished in the points and improving. Today we were ninth, I did not expect my pace to be that strong. In the first laps I was a bit on the edge, then I recovered, I got rid of other riders and was close to the group, although I was already riding alone and without a slipstream. I couldn’t reduce the distance, but I’m happy because doing the times alone will help us in the next races. I want to thank the team, which is now like my second family, my sponsors and my family. I can’t wait for Misano to arrive.”
