Second row start for Jorge Martin with 5th on the #AragonGP grid, Johann Zarco 10th

 In MotoGP, News

Jorge Martin will start from fifth at the Grand Prix of Aragon tomorrow. After finishing sixth in FP3 and earning direct access to Q2 for himself, the Spanish rider kept on improving throughout the day. Johann Zarco had marked the eleventh best time in FP3 and had to pass to Q2 via Q1, by just fifty-two thousandths of a second. The French rider was the fastest in Q1 and therefore gained access to Q2. He finished the day in tenth place with a time of 1:47.288.

Jorge Martín

I am happy with today. I was expecting to do something more from Q2, but to start from the second row is a great result regardless. The feeling is great, and I feel I am in great form.

Johann Zarco

I am a bit disappointed; I made the same mistake that I had made at Silverstone, and I haven’t been able to make the most out of the new tire: consequently losing time. Tomorrow I will start from the fourth row, I will give it my all to have a good race.
