A difficult race: I have really struggled physically. I had a problem in my left knee for about a month and I can’t train at 100%. A very hot weekend, bumps and no grip. I got a good start in the race, but it was difficult for me to stay in the slipstream because I had a rising in the temperatures in the front and was very hot. At 10 laps from the checkered flag I was destroyed, I tried to ride as best I could to manage the bumps and not make mistakes. A great job by the whole team from Friday to give me with a bike that was not very physical to ride and a nice step forward from the free practices to today.

A pity the crash just a few laps from the finishing line, we didn’t need it. It was a very demanding weekend, the team did a great job and we made a good step forward in qualifying. After the start, I have struggled to pick up the pace immediately but, lap by lap, I was returning into the top 10. I am very sorry for the crash because it could have been a good race.
