6th place for Vietti in the #AlgarveGP, 8th for Bezzecchi
A GP with both riders of the Sky Racing Team VR46 in the top 10 the one that just ended in Portimao. Celestino Vietti crossed the finishing line in sixth place while Marco Bezzecchi is eighth.
Started from the P14, Celestino managed the race in the best possible way and was the protagonist of a good recovery hitting the top 10 for the 7th time during the season.
Beautiful start and very positive first half of the race for Marco who from the seventh position on the grid arrived in P3 at the first corner. On the virtual podium until the lap 16, he was forced to give up positions in the final due to an unexpected drop of the rear tire. With today’s points Marco confirms the third place in the general standings with 214 points.
A nice Sunday at the end of a good weekend. We have always been competitive, the Team did a great job. It’s just a pity that I wasn’t incisive yesterday in qualifying, it is still an experience that we bring to Valencia.
A difficult race: I got a really good start, I felt good in the first laps. Unfortunately in the second half of the race the rear tire started to drop and it was really difficult to stay on track. I tried not to make mistakes and to get to the finishing line.
