Nakagami top Honda with 12th at #ArgentinaGP

Taka Nakagami finished as the leading Honda after claiming 12th position at the Argentina Grand Prix on Sunday. The LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider battled hard throughout the 25-lap race at Termas de Rio Hondo to ensure he picked up more valuable points in round three of the 2022 MotoGP World Championship.

Having finished 9th in an extended warm-up session on Sunday morning, the Japanese star made a flying start to the race as he moved up into sixth place on the opening lap. But he was unable to make that early progress stick and, despite pushing hard, ultimately focused on seeing the chequered flag and gaining more valuable data on the 2022 RC213V.

During the race I dropped positions and I couldn’t recover them. It was difficult as I couldn’t keep my pace, but I gave my best and P12 is what we finished – it’s not the best, but we’ll keep pushing and I’m looking forward to the America GP.
