Canet and Navarro finish #BritishGP in 5th and 8th
Positive race Sunday for the FlexBox HP 40 duo. After a complicated Saturday of qualifying practice, today Canet and Navarro took to the track with only one goal in mind: to go up. Both knew they had the pace to achieve it and so it was.
Canet was quickly in the leading positions and was fighting for the places that give access to the podium, but finally crossed the finish line in fifth position, less than two seconds behind the winner. Great race and points for the championship for Sito Pons’ pupil.
Good performance also for Jorge Navarro. The FlexBox HP 40 rider has climbed 10 positions and has been very solid both in pace and in every overtaking he was doing. He has achieved a good eighth position and closes with a good result a complicated weekend.
Arón Canet, 5th, +1.946
The truth is that despite starting from the back, today we knew we had the pace to fight for the victory and we proved it. Fifth is a good result but I expected more, but I reached the end of the race at the limit of tyres and I gave everything, so I’m happy and satisfied with the result. Thanks to the team for their good work.
Jorge Navarro, 8th, +10.647
I’m happy with the eighth position today. From the start I felt comfortable on the bike and I was able to ride as I know how. I made up 10 positions and crossing the finish line eighth today makes me satisfied. The pity is to have started from so far back, because we had the speed to fight for the podium, but we got a good result in a difficult weekend.
