Zarco 6th and Martin 13th in qualifying for the #SanMarinoGP

It was not a particularly brilliant Saturday for the Prima Pramac Racing team riders. Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin, in fact, will start from sixth and thirteenth position respectively in the #SanMarinoGP that will be staged tomorrow at 2pm at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Martin’s problems began in FP3 during which his best lap was cancelled due to a yellow flag. The Spanish rider was then forced to contest Q1 but when he re-entered the track for the second time attack, rain fell on the circuit forcing the riders to abort their attempts. For Martin, third place in Q1 is worth the fifth row (P13) on tomorrow’s grid.

After easily gaining direct access to Q2, Johann Zarco had to contend, as did the other riders, with a still slippery circuit. Despite this, the Frenchman set the fastest time in the middle of the session without being able to repeat it in the final minutes. Zarco will start tomorrow’s race from the second row (P6).

Johann Zarco

We saved the situation a little bit, it was not easy to drive in these weather conditions, the asphalt was dry but the kerbs very slippery and you had to be very careful. Anyway, we will start from a good second row.

Jorge Martín

t’s a pity because this morning with the yellow flag they cancelled my good lap to enter Q2. Starting from thirteenth position won’t be easy, but we will try our best to have a good race and make up positions.
