Jorge Martin finishes 9th in #SanMarinoGP, Johann Zarco DNF after crash
The Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini does not bring particular satisfaction to the Prima Pramac Racing team.
Johann Zarco’s start from sixth position is not one of the best and at the first corner the French rider suffers contact from Binder (KTM) and falls involving two other riders in the crash.
After a difficult qualifying session on Saturday (P13) Martin quickly recovered six positions and on lap six tried to attack Espargaro for sixth. The Prima Pramac Racing rider’s race pace, however, is not incisive and does not allow him to defend himself from Rins’ attack, thus finishing in ninth position.
Jorge Martín
Not the result I was hoping for, I didn’t have the pace to aim for more important positions.
On Tuesday we will get back to work to see where we can improve and arrive with an extra push at Aragon.
Johann Zarco
I am sorry because my race hardly even started, I was touched and I crashed, I’m sorry because unfortunately afterwards I also crashed into Pirro and Espargarò. It’s better to turn the page and start from scratch on Tuesday for testing.
