Pole to victory for Foggia at the #ThaiGP, DNF for Suzuki
Dennis Foggia leaves Thailand as the winner of the Moto3 race, it’s been one to remember!
The Rocket started from pole position after being fast the whole weekend on Thai soil. Today’s race can only be defined by a simple sentence: from pole position, to victory. The Italian led the 22 laps of the race and didn’t hesitate on defending his position.
The Thai victory is the 4th of the year for Dennis Foggia (he won in Indonesia, Great Britain, San Marino and now in Thailand).
Bad luck on the other side of the box, as Tatsuki Suzuki hasn’t been able to finish the race due to a problem on the bike. The Japanese rider was doing a huge comeback and had the potential to fight for the podium.
After today’s result, Dennis Foggia is 2nd on the general standings (216 points, 49 far from the leader) and Tatsuki Suzuki, 7th (128 points).
See you all in two weeks time in Australia!
Dennis Foggia
Another victory feels incredible. It’s been a tough race, but I’ve managed to do an amazing job. We’ve been fast the whole weekend, and we can’t complain at all: pole position on Saturday and victory on Sunday!
Tatsuki Suzuki
We’ve suffered a problem on the bike that has prevented us from finishing the race. We are a team, and we win and lose together, so we’ll keep working hard, and we’ll push again in Australia. Many thanks to everybody supporting me.
