Canet 9th in #AustralianGP, Navarro suffers nasty crash

Today’s Moto2 race was marked by a very serious accident suffered by FlexBox HP 40 rider Jorge Navarro. The Spanish rider suffered a crash that seemed to have no consequences, but once on the ground he was hit by another rider who was unable to avoid contact with him. After being hospitalised, Navarro fractured his femur and has already undergone surgery in Australia.

On a sporting level, Canet had some problems to show the rhythm he had been applying in practice and today he settled for ninth position. With this result, Canet consolidates his third place in the championship, 50 points behind the leader with two races to go.

Today my race is on the back burner. I just want to thank whoever is up there, thank him that nothing really serious has happened to my team-mate Jorge Navarro, who has taught me so much as a team-mate. I wish him a speedy recovery and a speedy return to his best.
