Bittersweet #ValenciaGP for Holgado and Masia who finish season finale in 10th and 22nd
Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 faced a demanding race at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. Dani Holgado finished in tenth position and Jaume Masia was 22nd after starting from pitlane.
Masia started from pit lane after receiving a penalty for inappropriate behaviour during FP3. The Moto3 rider maintained a consistent pace from the start, trying to catch up with the rest of the field. After climbing several positions, he crossed the finish line in 22nd.
Holgado recovered positions on the opening laps after starting from the fifth row of the grid. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rookie quickly made it into the pack and tried to stay in the front group, occupying a spot in the Top 10. The high pace forced Holgado to push hard from start to finish. He completed the last race of the year in tenth position.
With these results, Jaume Masia concludes his time with Red Bull KTM Ajo sixth in the overall standings, with 177 points. Dani Holgado finishes tenth with 103 points and fought for the Rookie of the Year award until the last race, but he couldn’t reach the goal. The Red Bull KTM Ajo team placed fourth in the Team standings with 280 points.
DANI HOLGADO
It was a hard race. We suffered a bit because it was difficult for us with the rear grip, but even so we had a great race in which we learned a lot. Above all, we were able to stay calm in difficult conditions. We tried until the end, and I can take that positive from this year. I want to thank the team for this incredible year. I felt very good with them, I have learned a lot and I thank them for how they have helped me and how they have treated me. I have learned a lot from this one.
JAUME MASIA
I’m happy with the pace I set. I lacked a bit of speed at the beginning of the race but afterwards the pace was good and I tried to stay focused. I want to thank the team, as we could have fought for fourth place for sure. In the end, these things happen and I will learn from the mistake.
