Le0pard Racing has completed the Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. Jaume Masià takes 5th position while teammate Tatsuki Suzuki crashes on the last lap and can’t finish the race.

With warm temperatures and sunny skies, Sunday kicked off at Mugello with a frantic day of racing ahead.
Le0pard riders Jaume Masià and Tatsuki Suzuki started the race from the 6th and the 11th spots on the grid.

Lights went out and the action started. Both Jaume Masià and Tatsuki Suzuki had a great start to the race, moving up some positions and placing themselves in the leading group formed by no less than eight riders. As the laps went by, Jaume Masià pushed hard to start fighting for the podium positions, even leading the race at some points.

In the meantime, Tatsuki Suzuki kept fighting for 6th in the following group once the five riders at the front had opened up a gap. The Japanese rider started to struggle, losing some positions, but managed to recover them again.

In the final laps, Jaume Masià continued to battle inside the top 3 and led the race with two laps to go. On the last lap, right when he was passing through the finishing straight, the two riders behind overtook him. In the end, Jaume Masià crossed the finish line in 5th position, taking some very important points.

Tatsuki Suzuki was running in 8th place when he dropped to 12th in a difficult finish to the race, and before he could cross the finish line, he suffered a crash.

The Japanese rider has been diagnosed with a multiple fracture in his left hand and foot.
Next week we are racing again. See you at the Sachsenring!

Jaume Masià – 5th

We finish the Italian Grand Prix with a bittersweet taste. Today we gave absolutely everything, but there were a few corners where I was struggling. We’ll work even harder next week.

Tatsuki Suzuki – DNF

Today wasn’t what I expected. We had a great start to the race and I was feeling good on the bike, but I crashed on the last lap. Now it’s time to focus on recovery.
