Double top 5 for Bezzecchi and Marini with 4th and 5th respectively in #GermanGP
Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini close the German GP with two excellent placements respectively in P4 and P5 under the chequered flag. Both in the slip stream of the group of the very first guys, the riders of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team confirmed the excellent feelings of the weekend.
Starting from the second row, on the Ducati Desmosedici GP, Marco struggled at the start and was forced into P8 after the first corners. Thanks to a really good pace in the central part of the race, he climbed up the standings to 4th place. He is third in the general standings with 126 points (P2 in the Team classification with 215 points).
A solid race also for Luca, second at the start and third during the first laps. He hit the Top 5 and confirmed the P6 in the general classification (89 points) on the eve of the last race of this three races in a row, in one week, at TT Assen.
MARCO BEZZECCHI
I really enjoyed it, I needed it after yesterday’s race. Many overtakings and a great recovery. In the Sprint I have struggled, while today with the medium at the rear I was able to ride as I wanted and get the bike to turn well. This morning we made a last-minute change in terms of setting and it went well. I recover many positions and managed the tyres in the final stages. I’m happy, the glass is definitely half full.
LUCA MARINI
Compared to yesterday, the sensations were better with the medium at the rear. In terms of settings, I had the same little problems as in the Sprint, I wasn’t able to be as fast as I wanted. Something was missing, I was slow in the middle of the corner and I wasn’t able to be incisive in the entry. Overall I’m happy, two more Top 5s and a solid weekend. I’m not at 100% with the bike yet, but we have another race in a very few days to be able to work hard again.
