Alex Marquez completes a near-perfect #MalaysianGP weekend

 In MotoGP, News

A win in yesterday’s sprint race, a second place today only behind an uncatchable Enea Bastianini. Today’s full lap encounter was a really demanding one, marked by high temperature and extreme humidity levels, with Alex Marquez able to get an incredible start followed by a consistently fast pace throughout the encounter.

The 32 points bagged this weekend have brought the Spanish rider close to the world championship top ten, with Quartararo and Miller only seven points away.

Fabio Di Giananntonio also managed to put together a good performance from 11th place on the grid. The Italian rider battled for top positions with the best of the class and finished ninth.

2nd – ALEX MARQUEZ #73

“Maybe the only mistake I made today was that I didn’t try to make a move on Enea at the beginning, but he was really fast today. It’s been a fantastic weekend and we still miss something to make it perfect, but we still have two GPs to try again. We’re leaving Sepang with a good feeling and we want to keep improving.”

9th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #49

“It was a more challenging weekend than expected after the good performance shown in recent events. In any case we did a good race, we battled with the second group and brought home an important result. Next are Qatar and Valencia to try and do even better.”
