Winners and Losers in Argentina – The FULL GAS Blog
Forget about Valentino Rossi’s age and the he wasn’t able to win on a Ducati. Let’s remember that Rossi is special and is the best MotoGP rider ever. Never write him off as a championship favourite.
In Argentina, Rossi clinched his second victory in three races so far this season. Marc Marquez, using the hard tire, pulled away from the rest of the field and appeared to produce the same result he did in Austin. With only a few laps to go, Valentino Rossi, who’s using the extra hard tire, got closer and closer to the the Spaniard. “I see Marc Márquez in Argentina, first small like this, after coming bigger and bigger and bigger, and I feel maybe I arrive on the last lap,” Rossi said.
On the penultimate lap, another Rossi versus Marquez happened but not for long. Marquez’s front clipped Rossi’s rear on the exit of Turn 5 and Marquez was thrown down the track. Race Direction have confirmed no action to be taken over Rossi and Marquez clash.
“It is a shame that he crashed, but for me I think he did a mistake,” Rossi declared. “Marc is a rider that always bets all-or-nothing.”
